EBassie - 00:38 (03-07-2015) Well, I've seen plenty players from the UK with pings of 25-35 today. So I think your routing is foobar. Usually this is caused by your ISP routing 'choices'
Rom - 22:38 (02-07-2015) all of them are i3d.net addresses that have high ms
Rom - 22:21 (02-07-2015) last 4 hops are all 70 - 118 ms
hops 4 - 7 time out (i know tracert packets can be rejected on hops)
EBassie - 16:07 (01-07-2015) How was the balance on that server? ;)
Rom - 16:01 (01-07-2015) <3 Ive actually had to play a different server!
EBassie - 15:55 (01-07-2015) It should have been reset... guess it's foobar. Removed it for you :)
Rom - 15:32 (01-07-2015) how long is the temp language ban ?
thought it reset lol
WolfSanguis - 22:26 (28-06-2015) Psst, Psst. Send it my way.
Rom - 17:22 (28-06-2015) Ah i did wonder when it was up :) Ill send some more later mate ;)
EBassie - 17:20 (28-06-2015) PS: technically your VIP slot has expired. Haven't removed it yet though :P
EBassie - 17:18 (28-06-2015) BTW: scramble will happen when ticketdifference is > 600 (if I'm correct. Can't check now)
Rom - 17:12 (28-06-2015) I do appreciate all you do. I know running servers isnt easy. I used to just admin some, and that was a head ache. Its very easy for me to moan. I will stop it. I didnt really think about how it was for you. With me just moaning all the time about it.
Rom - 17:09 (28-06-2015) Ok mate. One thing i did just think off, whats the scramble ticket threshold ? As sometimes i think they may actually unbalance the teams.
To me, i would think 500 tickets is pretty close in this mode. But i thnk its more like 200 ? So sometimes, it 'seems' (i dont know the exact details like you do) that a game that ends say 400 tickets apart, will get scrambled, and those reasonably even teams, can get mixed up, and next round is more one side.
Again, i know i moan :) I just always play to win, and its frustrating when my team is losing, im trying my hardest, and then it will take players who are actually ptfo, and give them to other team.
<3
EBassie - 17:08 (28-06-2015) Not offended, just annoyed. Since you moan about the balancer since we started doing Chain Link. I've tried to please you ever since but it's never good enough.
The default balancing (to get an even amount) does NOT take top players (40% of the top). It tries to balances last joiners first.
But then the balancer does also try to balance the ranks (rank > 100), However, it was not taking into account this top 40% as exclusions. This could incidently give a good player to the already winning side. I just did change that. That's the only thing we can really change.
So this now is really the last thing I will see about it ;)
Rom - 16:59 (28-06-2015) Not trying to offend you Bassie, but i donate, and i play it a lot. I know how the balancer plays out. It may be great on paper. But it doesnt always play out like that.
Ive suggested, could it not be scripted, to swap lower rank (according to the balancer) players when the team is losing ? I understand how it works. It blindly swaps players to balance numbers. Iirc, you told me it takes good players, not randoms. So if a team is losing badly, lets say 1k points. Im merely saying, taking good players from that team, is haveing a negative effect.
